The days are getting longer and the weather is slowly, but surely, getting warmer. The world is coming alive with greenery, bright colors and floral prints in fashion and interior design to signify the arrival of spring. For décor lovers, a new season means it’s time to give your living space a refresh. Not quite sure where to begin? We recommend starting with the heart of the home, your kitchen! Read on as we share our favorite seasonal style tips for decorating your kitchen for spring.
Budding Blooms
Spring is a time of rebirth and a fresh start for flora and fauna. Flowers are starting to pop out of the ground, the grass is becoming greener and trees are beginning to bud. If you love nature and find solace in having the outdoors in your home, mirror what you see outside into your kitchen.
Budding branches can make an excellent addition to your spring kitchen décor. Find a few in your backyard if you’re looking to be cost-savvy, or purchase a few pieces at your local craft store to display year after year. Hemingway Interiors upcycled an old vase with spackle to create a rustic, artisan look with budding greenery on her kitchen island.

Sensational Seasonal Scents
In addition to decorating your kitchen with flora and fauna, you can also use scented candles as a centerpiece on your kitchen island. Keep the scent light and airy with notes of eucalyptus, jasmine, citrus or rose. Make it even more of a centerpiece by placing the candle on a decorative wooden cutting board or in a large shallow bowl, and add accessories like a wick cutter and a snifter.
If you’re more conscious about open flames, a decorative wax warmer will work just as well.

Showstopping Centerpiece
No vase? No problem! Laura Reister got creative with her range décor and used her heart-shaped dutch oven as a pot for fresh tulips. The pink and red hues pop brightly against her white backsplash and countertops. This décor trick will certainly catch guests in your home by surprise – and might inspire them to do the same!

Floral Fabrics
Hanging a dish towel over your range handle can make clean-up in the kitchen a breeze. It’s also such an easy way to add seasonality to the space! Susan Serra, CKD, matched her matte black range with a bold black and blue floral pattern. At the end of every season, stock up on dish towels in the clearance section to truly maximize your savings so you’re prepared for next year!
