1800’s Living Room & Kitchen

Fred and Elizabeth, home owners of an 1800 era stone house, call on Jeff Devlin and his team to restore the historic charm of their kitchen. Before the renovation, the out-dated space sat on a 1950s addition with metal cabinets, knotty pine paneling and linoleum floors. Jeff outfits the kitchen for entertaining and gives it a farmhouse style feel with top of the line amenities, including a 36″ Stainless Steel Verona range.

Guest Post: Blythe & Barnett Kitchen Renovation with Verona Appliances

Hi there! We’re Katie + Cara…two best friends and moms who are passionate about turning a house into a home! Your home is where you come to rest from the cares of the world with the people you love most, so shouldn’t it be the place you enjoy most? The best way to create a relaxing environment is to remove clutter and keep only the things that you feel to be beautiful and have purpose.

Katie recently moved into a fixer upper that had a lot of charm but was in need of a lot of work. The large and spacious kitchen was the main selling factor, but it was also the room that needed the most work.

First up on the kitchen renovation list was to create a neutral backdrop. We said goodbye to the orange toned cabinets and painted them a fresh coat of white. Formica countertops were replaced with a beautiful quartz and the walls were covered in a classic white Subway tile. The kitchen was looking much better but we wanted it to feel more “gourmet”!

To achieve more of a high-end look, we removed the cabinets and microwave above the counter to create a more open feel. We got rid of the dated electric cooktop and instead installed a Verona 30” gas cooktop with a custom built range hood above it. It instantly changed the entire look of the kitchen by opening it up and creating a more modern look! The trendy configuration of the burners and knobs fit perfectly with the aesthetic of the room.

Switching out the cooktop from electric to gas came with more bells and whistles. There’s just something to be said about cooking on an open flame, isn’t there?! With the Verona Gas Cooktop we are now able to heat our food more quickly, and even have the option to simmer soups and sauces on the low heat setting. The continuous grates give us the ability to move around our pots and pans as we cook without ever needing to pick it up off of the cooktop.

We finished off the kitchen with modern fixtures, accessories and added a few personal touches to make it feel more like home! The kitchen is the heart of the home and by creating a relaxing environment we now have a space that we can enjoy gatherings with family and friends for years to come! ILVE transforms a 1950’s kitchen into an entertainment destination

In Houston, Texas the heart of a 1950s ranch was transformed into a beautifully designed entertainment destination with the help of a 48” ILVE Majestic range.

after-island2Designer Vi Khanh Hoang, who specializes in custom renovations that are adhered to the client’s lifestyle, renovated the kitchen within the footprint of the original home. She was able to incorporate the existing structure of the kitchen with an open and functional layout for entertaining friends and family.

screen-shot-2016-11-29-at-11-13-08-am“The dimensions of the kitchen stayed the same, but the layout had significant modifications,” explained Vi Khanh Hoang. “We removed two walls and relocated range and refrigerator to different walls. We added a large island, a coffee/drink area, a prep/sink area, and a cooking area.”

The kitchen was inspired by the classic and clean trend mixed with a warm cottage feel that is popular in interior design today. A 48” Matte Graphite ILVE range with brass trim helped to bring these styles together while still meeting the personal need for a powerful cooking appliance.

after-range-wall“We wanted a professional range that had an old world feel with today’s convenience. This range had high BTU’s, rotisserie function, warming drawer, glass on the oven door, beautiful brass hardware and could be customized. And it was just simply gorgeous!”

Verona Helps Outfit 300 sq.ft. Cottage

With Verona Appliances, big things come in small packages! And that’s exactly what renovators had in mind when transforming a small summer cottage into a fully outfitted year round home.

In Provincetown, Massachusetts Cape Associates, a building and remodeling company specializing in fully custom projects, was tasked with not only turning the 300 square foot cottage into a year round space, but equipping it with all of the conveniences of modern living.

“The Summer cottage could not be expanded vertically or horizontally due to code restrictions so all the requirements for year round living needed to be fit into the existing footprint,” said project manager Derik Burgess. “This necessitated very careful planning and customization in order to fit it all in.”

The kitchen was completed with a 24” Verona Gas Wall Oven and a 12” Deluxe 2 Burner Gas Cooktop. The appliances were specially chosen by the client, he himself being a principal at Studios Architecture.

ILVE Majestic Shines in Hyde Park Renovation

ILVE Appliances has helped aid the beautiful renovation of a 90-year-old distressed bungalow into an elegant, yet contemporary home for an avid art collector and professional photographer.

Clark | Richardson Architects led the project in 2013, which was located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Austin, Texas. The goal of the renovation was to maintain some of the historical external features of the home, while extending the floor plan and reinventing the interior. The completed renovation was awarded an Austin Energy Green Building 5-Star Certification.

The client chose to include a beautiful 40” ILVE Majestic double oven range in true white with chrome legs, handles and knobs. The white color of the range was beautifully accented by a light green back splash for an even more contemporary twist. The client chose to go with an ILVE appliance after she happened to sit next to a EuroChef representative on a flight for vacation.

Verona Helps Complete An Atlanta Bungalow Renovation

Verona Appliances has helped transform a formally cluttered kitchen into a trendy entertainment destination.

In Atlanta, Georgia Level Team Contracting designed and re-built a 1925 bungalow, which had never before been renovated. When the team first purchased the home, they knew that they were about to take on a very large project. “The house was an absolute mess when we purchased it.  The previous owners were hoarders and it was filthy, it hadn’t been renovated in many decades,” said owner J.R. Torbert of Level Team Contracting.

The goal of the renovation was to create a great house that would be suitable for hosting parties and entertaining guests, since the house is located in a trendy and walk-able area of Atlanta. “On the inside, we designed a more contemporary open layout with traditional finishes.  On the outside, we kept the design details consistent with the neighborhood aesthetic and the original 1920’s construction period.”

The kitchen was completed with 36” Verona Pro-Style Dual Fuel range with an 8” backguard and professional tubular handle. Level Team Contracting prides themselves on being ahead of the curve in design, style and technology. “We chose the Verona because it was a professional 36″ range that looked great and was also affordable. The transformation was amazing and turned into a 1+ million dollar sale.”
